SUPŠ UH and the Latvian secondary school MIKC have joined forces in an innovative program titled “EmpowerED”, which focuses on developing key skills for today’s labor market, such as entrepreneurship and employability, while also strengthening cultural understanding and digital resilience.

The project will officially launch with a kickoff meeting between representatives of the partner schools, taking place from April 23–25, 2024, in Liepāja, Latvia. During this meeting, the foundation for collaboration and communication will be established. The Czech and Latvian teams will distribute roles and responsibilities equally, ensuring that each team member has a clear understanding of their tasks and expectations. This structure is key to ensuring that the project proceeds smoothly and efficiently throughout its entire duration.

Main Goal of the Project:

To foster mutual cooperation and knowledge-sharing between both institutions.

Key Project Outputs:

• Implementation of online lectures led by professionals and entrepreneurs to promote skill development and entrepreneurship. These sessions will provide students with valuable insights and practical knowledge directly from experienced experts.
• Creation of a tailored handbook for art students, combining practical information about entrepreneurship with inspiring stories of successful individuals. This handbook will not only offer essential knowledge about business and employment basics but also motivate students to pursue their own creative and entrepreneurial ambitions.

• Development of educational materials and teaching methodologies for the subject of Art History. These materials will cover major artistic movements, works, and figures of the 20th and 21st centuries, emphasizing the connection between historical contexts and contemporary artistic developments. The goal is to help students analyze and interpret artworks within broader cultural and societal frameworks. The resources will be adapted to modern digital learning environments and will support an interdisciplinary approach — particularly in connection with English language instruction.
• Creation of a digital platform for sharing project content, fostering collaboration among students and teachers, and cultivating the skills necessary for success in today’s digital learning environment. This approach not only encourages resource sharing but also contributes to the development of a seamless ecosystem for mutual cooperation.
