Závěrečná akce projektu Erasmus+ „EmpowerED“ v Liepaji

Final Event of the Erasmus+ Project “EmpowerED” in Liepaja

On March 4th, from 12:00 to 14:00, a public final event of the small-scale Erasmus+ partnership project “EmpowerED: Fostering Employability, Cultural Understanding, and Digital Resilience in VET Education” will take place in Liepaja, at the exhibition hall of the Liepaja Music, Art and Design Secondary School (LMMDV), Alejas 18.

The event is designed for art and design teachers, foreign language teachers, school leaders, career advisors, project managers, and other education professionals interested in modern, interdisciplinary, and sustainable educational content.

During the event, teaching and methodological materials developed within the project will be presented, primarily designed to meet the needs of vocational education. Some of these materials, particularly in the area of language learning, can also be used in general education contexts.

Our school will be represented at the event by Martin Dvořák, Jan Křemének, and Marta Šišáková. Together with LMMDV, we will present the project’s progress, collaboration process, and key results. Participants will have the opportunity to explore a structured set of 20th- and 21st-century art and design history teaching topics, art-based English language learning materials for developing different language skills, and a youth employability and entrepreneurship guide providing practical insights into the first steps in professional life. Special attention will be given to the role of design in educational material development, highlighting the importance of visual quality, structured layout, and digital accessibility.

The project results will be publicly available – participants will learn about the content of the developed materials, the approach used in their creation, and practical ways to implement them in teaching. These materials can serve as real, everyday resources for lesson planning, interdisciplinary learning, and can be adapted to various educational needs.

The event will be conducted in Latvian and English. Partners from the Czech Republic will share their experiences and contributions to the project in English, while representatives of LMMDV will present the project’s progress and results in both Latvian and English, creating an equal dialogue between the audience and the international project partners. The event will conclude with a question-and-answer session.

The Erasmus+ small-scale partnership project “EmpowerED” (No. 2023–2-LV01-KA210-VET-000178458) runs from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026. The project is coordinated by LMMDV in collaboration with our school; the total project budget is €60,000.
